Vessel Details
Lady Jane Franklin II - 32m Catamaran Ferry

This vessel was designed to operate in the World Heritage listed region of South West Tasmania. To enable operation within this region the vessel was required to meet strict environmetal conditions including minimal wash, noise and engine emissions. In addition to these requirements the vessel also had to contend heavy sea conditions encountered at the mouth of Macquarie Harbour and the ever changing weather conditions that are experienced in this isolated part of Tasmania.

The interior design for this vessel was upgraded to provide a superior experinece for the passengers and included extra large leather reclining seats, self serve kiosks and floor to ceiling windows in the vessel's first class saloon on the upper deck. The main deck cabin features reclining seats and fixed lounges, self serve coffee bar, large galley and kiosk facilities, childrens' play area, floor to ceiling windows and a hugh skylight forward providing abundant natural lighting in the main cabin.

The outdoor layed teak decks provide ideal under cover viewing opportunities.
