Two 21m barges to carry 136 passenger seated with others standing. These vessels are destined to operate in the harbour of Dar es Salaam, transferring the many thousands of commuters that cross the narrow harbour entrance to get to work and back. The service is currently operated by large steel double enders and these new barges are seen as a fast, nimble option that with rapid loading and unloading capability will assist in peak times.
